Sorry I got behind on this site this summer!  

As things change in our lives this fall, we will need to make some minor changes to the group meetings as well.  Starting this week Sept 11th we will start our meetings at 10am instead of 10:30am.   That will allow us to wrap up by 11:30am so I can go pick up my first time preschooler on time!

Meetings will continue to be on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.  Stay tuned as we get closer to November and December for because we often only have one meeting a month due to the holidays.

In October the Family Wisdom conference is hosting a very exciting traveling film festival at the State Theatre.  The Motherbaby International Film Festival will be Oct 15-17th.  Please see  www.tcmiff.org for details about film showing and ticket purchasing.   Film makers and panelists will be available after most films for discussions!

 

I've added some new downloadable files under the "Resources" heading.  There is a purchasing guide with tons of great information about all the different types of carriers availabe and how to choose the right one for you and also information regarding what is available locally.

There are also 2 PDF files, one for Babywearing basics and then another regarding correct positioning techniques.

Hey everyone!  We are still meeting on the 2nd and 4th thursday of each month.  November was a bit different because the 4th thursday was Thanksgiving so we did not meet that week.  Our next meeting falls on December 13th.  There will also be only one meeting in December as the 4th thursday falls between Christmas and New Years.  It is a very busy time of year, often overstimulating for babies and small children so we will take a break that week.

Our meeting area at Grace Episcopal Church has been wonderful.  We are meeting upstairs in the nursery area.  If you haven't come yet, please join us!

Starting next month, September, we will begin meeting on the 2nd and 4th thursday of the month at 10:30am.  Our new meeting location is at Grace Episcopal Church in downtown Traverse City (341 Washington St.)
For September that would mean our meetings fall on the 13th and 27th.
